Partnership Principles

We’re all familiar with a magnifying glass. When we think about what it does, the first thing that comes to mind is that it makes things look bigger. That’s the obvious assumption.

But here’s the truth: a magnifying glass doesn’t actually change the size of what you’re looking at. The object stays exactly the same. What the magnifying glass really does is make things clearer. It helps us see details we might otherwise miss.

In the same way, the simple, practical things we’ll be talking about in this series don’t make God bigger because we can’t make God bigger. He is already infinite, beyond measure. What these actions do is make God more visible to the world around us. They help others see Him more clearly in a world that desperately needs to.

The big idea this week is this: Unity in the mission magnifies the God of the mission.
