Behold the Lamb - Part 16: The Lamb Who Returns
In this message from Revelation 19, Pastor Pete describes the return of Christ in glory and judgment. Heaven opens, revealing a rider on a white horse—called Faithful and True—who judges and wages war with righteousness. His eyes are like blazing fire, and he wears many crowns, symbolizing supreme authority. He has a name known only to Himself, and His robe is dipped in blood, signifying sacrifice and victory. He is called The Word of God.
He is followed by the armies of heaven, also on white horses, dressed in pure white linen. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, representing His power to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter and tread the winepress of God's wrath. On His robe and thigh is written the title: King of Kings and Lord of Lords, affirming His ultimate sovereignty.
The key takeaway: Jesus Christ returns as the triumphant King and righteous Judge, exercising divine authority over all nations and fulfilling God's final victory over evil.
This passage emphasizes His sovereignty, justice, and power, portraying Him not as a suffering servant but as a conquering warrior who brings judgment and establishes His reign. It’s a vivid reminder of the ultimate triumph of good over evil and the fulfillment of God's promises.
