Part 3 - Authorized

In this sermon, Dr. Pete Pawelek explores the authority of Jesus and how it empowers His disciples to fulfill the mission of God. Matthew 28:18-20 reveals that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Christ. But what does that mean for us today?

We unpack the two aspects of sanctification—positional (our standing in Christ at salvation) and process (our daily walk of holiness)—to show that a sanctified disciple is an authorized disciple.

We then examine:

- The Source of Jesus’ Authority – Given by the Father, affirmed throughout Scripture (John 3:35 and Ephesians 1:20-23).

- The Supremacy of His Authority – Unlike any earthly authority, Jesus reigns supreme over all creation (Matthew 7:28-29).

- Our Submission to His Authority.
