Resurrection Is the Final Chapter

"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it bears much fruit." - John 12:24

If you’ve ever felt like your story was over, like the weight of what you’ve lost or endured has crushed any hope for what could be ahead, you’re not alone. Most people reach a point where things feel final. Like a chapter has ended, and it’s too dark to imagine how anything good could follow. But God never stops writing after the crucifixion. He always writes resurrection next.

Jesus made that clear when He talked about the grain of wheat. Death was never the destination. It was the doorway. Pain wasn’t the period at the end of the sentence. It was the comma before the breakthrough. That image of a seed going into the ground wasn’t just about what He would face on the cross. It was about what He would invite you to face, too. Because resurrection doesn’t just belong to Jesus. It belongs to everyone who follows Him.

There are seasons in your life that will feel buried. Dreams that die. Joy that feels lost. Strength that feels used up. But what feels buried isn’t gone. In God’s hands, it’s being planted. And what’s planted in surrender grows into something far greater. That’s the pattern God follows. Humility to exaltation, suffering to glory, death to life.

Philippians 2 reminds us that Jesus humbled Himself to the point of death, but that wasn’t the end of the story. God exalted Him. That same pattern plays out in your life, too, even when you can't see it yet.

So if today feels like death, hold on. God always finishes His story with life. Resurrection isn’t just something to believe in. It’s something you can live in.
