Don’t Just Know the Word. Live It.
"So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." - Colossians 1:10
It is one thing to know what the Bible says. It is another thing to let it shape the way you live. Memorizing verses, highlighting pages, and attending Bible studies are good things. But if Scripture never moves from your head to your hands, it stops short of its purpose.
Colossians 1:10 paints a picture of what it means to live a life that pleases God. It is not just about having the right theology. It is about walking in a way that reflects Him. That kind of life is marked by fruit, visible results of your connection to Him. It is seen in the choices you make, the way you treat people, and the integrity you carry even when no one is looking.
God never called you to be a Bible expert who never applies what they know. He called you to bear fruit in every good work. That means faith in action. It means patience when you are frustrated. Kindness when you are wronged. Self-control when you want to react. Mercy when it is easier to judge.
If your life is saturated with biblical knowledge but lacks spiritual fruit, something is off. The goal is not to store up information. The goal is transformation. Every truth you learn is an invitation to respond. Every command is a doorway to obedience. Every promise is a reason to keep going.
You do not have to be perfect. But you are called to be consistent. Ask yourself today, does my life reflect what I say I believe? Can others see Jesus not just in my words, but in how I live?
Do not stop at knowing the Word. Let it work in you, change you, and lead you to live a life that bears fruit and points others to Him.
