Living to Please God
"So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." - Colossians 1:10
There are a lot of voices trying to tell you who to impress and how to do it. But as a follower of Jesus, the aim of your life is not to impress a crowd. It's to please your Creator. That does not mean perfection. It means pursuit. A life that wants what God wants and lives with Him in mind.
This kind of life is not just built on belief. It is built on action. Paul describes a walk that pleases God as one that bears fruit in every good work. That means your decisions, your work ethic, your relationships, and your character all matter. Faith that stays in the heart but never reaches the hands is not complete.
But here is the truth that sets you free: pleasing God is not about earning approval. It is about living in alignment. When you are rooted in Christ and growing in the knowledge of God, your life begins to reflect Him more and more. It is not forced or fake. It is the natural result of abiding.
If you are seeking His will and choosing to walk in it, you are already on the right path. Even when you stumble, even when you do not feel like you measure up, His grace holds you steady. He is not looking for religious performance. He is looking for a heart that is fully His.
The question is not whether you can live a perfect life. The question is whether you will live a surrendered one. Let that be your focus today. Walk in a way that pleases Him, and trust that He will lead you every step of the way.
