Do You Believe This?

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live... Do you believe this?'" – John 11:25–26

Martha believed in God. She believed in the idea of a future resurrection and had confidence that one day everything would be made right. But when Jesus showed up at her brother's tomb, He challenged her to believe something deeper. Not just that Lazarus would rise one day, but that resurrection was already standing in front of her.

A lot of us live with that same kind of distant hope. We trust that God will work things out eventually. We say someday He will heal, someday He will restore, someday He will bring peace. But what if Jesus is calling you to believe that He wants to bring life to your situation right now?

There are places in all of us that feel dead. Relationships that seem too far gone. Dreams that feel buried. Hope that’s dried up. But the power of Jesus is not just for later. It’s for this moment. He doesn’t just comfort us in our pain. He breathes life into it. Resurrection is not a concept to study. It is a Person to encounter.

Jesus asked Martha a direct question, and He is asking you the same one. Do you believe this? Not just in your head, but in your heart. Not just as a theory, but as something that changes how you live. Do you believe He can resurrect what feels lost in your life?

This is not just about eternity. It’s about today. Jesus is the resurrection and the life. That means He has the final word over everything that feels too broken to fix. And He is asking you to trust Him with it now.
