The Gospel Breaks the Boundaries
"And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice." – John 10:16
Jesus didn’t come for a select few. He didn’t die for the most polished or religious. From the very beginning, His mission has been bigger than any one group. Bigger than cultural norms. Bigger than comfort zones. When He said He had “other sheep not of this fold,” He was making it clear. The gospel is not exclusive. It is expansive.
Most people like the idea of inclusion until it gets uncomfortable. We’re wired to want familiar. People like us. Stories that line up with ours. But the heart of God is constantly reaching for the outsider. For the forgotten. For the one no one thought would ever belong. That includes you. And it includes the people you might be tempted to write off.
This is a wake-up call for those who’ve gotten used to church culture but forgotten the mission. The gospel is not about building walls. It’s about opening gates. Jesus isn’t forming an insider’s club. He’s building a family. And He is still gathering people who don’t yet know they’re invited.
If you’ve ever felt like you don’t belong, Jesus has a word for you. You do. If your story is messy, if your past is complicated, if your questions are loud, you are exactly the kind of sheep He’s talking about. He came for you. And if you’ve already been brought in, don’t forget the assignment. Your life should echo that invitation.
The Shepherd is still calling. Still seeking. Still saving. And the family of God is wide open to anyone willing to follow His voice. Let that shape how you see yourself. And let it shape how you see everyone else.
